Redispersible Polymer Powder
RDP
RDP is a spray-dried vinyl acetate-ethylene or acrylic emulsion that reverts to a polymer dispersion the moment it meets water.
Overview
Redispersible Polymer Powder
RDP, or redispersible polymer powder, is a spray-dried vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) or acrylic emulsion that reverts to a polymer dispersion the moment it meets water. In a cement mortar it cures into a flexible polymer film that bridges the brittle cement matrix, raising bond strength, flexural strength and water resistance.
It is the additive that turns an ordinary cement mix into a modern tile adhesive, skim coat or waterproofing slurry.
